How I Grew My Business Because Of Video Marketing

I am a small niche manufacturer of cosmetics in California. The cosmetics were manufactured out of only organic and natural ingredients and there was a growing market for such products. With my low advertising budget, I had only one way to go and that was online. When I explored the internet after putting up my cosmetics website, I learned that video marketing is the catch word for the most effective online marketing campaign.

To make the most out of this tremendous medium, I decided to shoot professional quality videos, using quality models to showcase the products being used. It did cost some money, but the output was very satisfying. As the videos were all about make up and beauty, we selected young beautiful models. These models were trained in their profession, and understood camera angles and other aspects of the shoot.

To have our final cut of two minutes video, we had shot almost half hour length footage and now the video had to go on the editing table. Tight editing and background music that was mild and not overbearing was on top of my mind and the production unit. These videos were very engrossing and appealing to anyone who cared to watch them. I deliberately kept them short, so that the viewer did not lose interest. I launched my video marketing effort by first incorporating my URL and logo in the videos.

Turning to youtube, I posted them with proper search keywords in the title, tags and description, so that it can come up trumps. I also linked the URL to my blog, forum postings, and email signature, reviews and used Social Medias like facebook, twitter and orkut to boost my video marketing effort.

Meanwhile I had joined a lot of communities on the social media sites relating to beauty & makeup, cosmetics, natural products, herbal cosmetics, organic products, lifestyle and green causes. Thereafter, I uploaded my video to showcase to my communities and the responses and comments were just fantastic. I had made my presence felt and my video marketing effort had taken off wonderfully. As the video also featured my website address, those who saw it also paid visit to my website, which was ready to take in their orders.

Next I inserted a link back to my video on my blog. This blog was all about natural products and organic foods, sustainable living and eco consciousness. The video was a natural extension of what I held close to my heart and also offered a solution and alternative to toxin laden cosmetics flooding the market. The response as expected was phenomenal and my blog followers were very enthusiastic and keen to try out the various products featured in the video. I also made it a point to put signature link in all my outgoing emails, so that who were not aware could also watch this video.



Within a few months of my video marketing exercise, my business was taking off briskly and all my online efforts were paying off handsomely.
